The Importance of God’s Presence

God is the source of our identity, but unfortunately, many people don’t realize this. He’s the source of our joy, our comfort, our guidance, and our sense of purpose. In His presence, we find peace, joy, and a sense of purpose. Living in the Lord’s presence is not a one-time thing; it’s an ongoing process of living in His presence. We can live in His presence by praying, worshiping, reading His word, and intentionally seeking his face. When we make room in our lives for God’s presence, we create an environment for His presence to be in our lives.

Giving up control:
Giving up control is the first step to truly surrendering to God. Giving up control means giving up on our plans, our distractions, and our selfishness. As we draw closer to God with our hearts open to Him, He will draw closer to us, ready to meet us where we stand, ready to speak to us in deep and unexpected ways.

The Power of God’s Presence
God’s presence has the ability to change us from within. In 2 Corinthians 3:18, it says, “But we are changed with open face, like a glass, beholding the glory of God.” In God’s presence, we change, refine, and mold into His image. Our hearts are restored, our hearts soften, and our lives are filled with love, mercy, and grace.

We are called to bring the power of God into the world. We can shine His light in a world of darkness. When we bring God into the world, it doesn’t just happen to us. It happens to others too. It’s an invitation for them to seek out the power of God. As we seek Him, as we give ourselves to Him, and as we live a life of being with Him, we will meet a God who is ready to reveal Himself to us. In his presence, we find freedom, identity, deliverance, and a transformation beyond our comprehension. Let us focus on being in His presence, for in His presence is everything we need and our lives are forever changed.
